Richard Herman is an immigration lawyer and founder of Richard T. Herman & Associates, LLC, a Cleveland-based immigration law firm that serves global talent & world-class companies in over 10 languages.
For each of the last seven years, Richard has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Ohio Super Lawyer magazine, a distinction reserved to the top five percent of attorneys in the State of Ohio who attained high peer recognition and professional achievement.

Richard is the co-author of the High Skill Immigration Policy which has been adopted by 30 chambers of commerce in the Midwest from Chicago to Pittsburgh. He is the co-founder of TiE-Ohio, a chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs Association based in Silicon Valley.

As an advisor to nationwide think tanks, chambers of commerce, governments and foundations, Richard conducts research, implements advocacy and outreach initiative to promote greater understanding of the importance that internationals play in local economic development, and the need for communities to be welcoming destination for immigrant entrepreneurs, international technology talent, and foreign direct investment.
American-born, formerly residing in Moscow, Russia, Richard is married to Dr. Kimberly Chen, an immigrant from Taiwan, and they are raising their children to be citizens of the world.
